2, 6-Lutidine, CAS 108-48-5, enjoys wide application in organic   synthesis, mainly as pharmaceutical intermediate and insecticide. 2,   6-Lutidine is used to generate medicines to treat high blood pressure and   emergency treatment drugs. It can also be used to produce pyridinolcarbamate   to cure atherosclerosis in medical industry. Besides, 2, 6-Lutidine, CAS   108-48-5, also applies to produce broad spectrum insecticide efficiently   against roundworms, whipworms and pinworms. It also plays a part as dyeing   agent, reagent and food flavouring for coco, café, meat, bread and nuts. 2,6-Lutidine has been evaluated   for use as a food additive owing to its nutty aroma when present in solution   at very low concentrations.
